Common: It's common to feel this way, a lot of women do. The good news is that you'll be awake the entire time, so it's not like you have to fear going to sleep and not waking up. Doctors can also give you some extra anti-anxiety medication like Ativan (lorazepam) to take while you are in pre-op to help calm your nerves, this is common practice. Talk about your fears w/ doctor too. Know you're normal and okay!
