Dry or allergy: You are a bit young for dry eye unless you have other medical conditions or are taking medicines that can cause dry eye. Computer use, tv and excessive reading can reduce blink rate and exacerbate dry eye. Try a lubricating eye drop when you have to read for an extended period of time, at the end of the day and when you are going to be in a hot / dry / windy / air-conditioned environment.

Dry eyes: Dry eyes are very common among young people today, unlike previous decades before the proliferation of computers and electronic devices. A combination of radiation from screens and decreased blink rate while reading causes first dry eye then mild burns of the conjunctiva. They will heal with artificial tears, rest away from the computer, and use of radiation screens over the monitor. Sleep helps.
