I need methohexital for surgery so they can induce seizures while asleep... is there a high likelihood of it causing me to vomit like other anesthetic?

Methohexital: The can cause vomiting. Nobody can predict if you will vomit because of it.

Not emetogenic: Methohexital is a barbiturate, with sedative and hypnotic qualities. Normally it does not cause nausea/vomiting by itself. However when combined with narcotics during surgery , nausea/ vomiting can occur. If this is a concern, an anti-nausea drug can be added to off-set this effect. Options available currently include : ondansentron, trans-dermal scopolamine, decadron, phenergan, (promethazine) and droperidol.
