Depends on the dose: It will depend on the dose and the cause of the period. If the bleeding is very heavy and is not due to a pathologic cause like a growth (fibroid) then 5 to 10 days. The medicine requires an intact pituitary/endometrium connection for feedback to stop the bleeding.
