NO before leave 4-ER: Amputated part, such as a finger and one is seeking re attachment briefly rinse ( for a second) the finger with cool water)place the finger in a moist clean gauze or paper towel do not soak the finger in the water. Place the wrapped finger in a plastic bag and seal it. Put the sealed bag in another bag with cold or ice water. Cover injury with clean moist bandage/hold .With light pressure.
