What are the symptoms syphilis? is it pretty rare now?

Very few: Very rare, although the incidence is rising with the influx of illegal immigrants. There are no symptoms until very late in the disease, except for one. Within one week of exposure, you might get a chancre, a sore that will not heal somewhere on the labia, or penis, or groin. If you have a sore, go to your doctor!

Rates climbing!: Initial symptoms of syphilis? Almost none- one may find a painless sore on the body like the penis- or else it may occur within the vaginal vault. I don't consider syphilis rare- depending on the demographic group like young men who has sex with men, there is a disturbingly increasing trend of increased infection, especially in metropolitan centers.Exercise safe-sex precautions to minimize risk.
