Depends: Is it a front or back tooth? Usually a front tooth is faster than a back tooth. Is it done by a specialist? Is it a straight root canal or retreatment? Is there any crown? What's your plan with the old crown? But to give you an estimate, you should give yourself at least an hour for a molar root canal.

Depends: Root canal treatment is the process used to eradicate an infection. The virulence of the bacteria as well as the complexity of the anatomy influence the speed of the process. Allow the doctor to use as much or as little time he or she feel the process should take. You will benefit in the end.
