A member asked:

Would a ct scan pick up on parasites in brain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Parasites: Ct scans detect changes in the brain substance that are produced by a variety of diseases. Sometimes the findings may suggest one illness over another, but they are never specifically diagnostic. Thing like cysticerus, toxoplasmosis, and others are very likely but must be proven by other techniques.
