Your job is accurate descriptions, info on other conditions and meds and reactions.  Anxiety is best to treat in combo w/ CBT - Learn skills!

Celexa/zoloft: Pros may include some response as antidepressant if Celexa was not working at optimum dose for several weeks, or was not tolerated well, and also some withdrawal symptoms until zoloft (sertraline) kicks in. Cons may include the opposite, with more symptoms of depression, especially since it takes time for the zoloft (sertraline) to work.

No: Neither will cause signifcant weight gain. Undertreated depression is more likely to be the cause of weight gain.

Almost immedicately: The side effect is dose related and improves as soon as the blood levels drop which could be the next day.  Of course over time if the depression returns your libido could plummet.  Lexapro (escitalopram) may have less sexual dysfunction than Celexa.  Young men who are anorgasmic on low doses of SSRI, I wonder about Bipolar disorder and would consider Lamictal as alternate rx

Anti-Depressants: It is not a 'stronger' medication. It is of the same class and is a 'cousin' to Lexapro (escitalopram) and celexa.  Most of us in medicine try to avoid such descriptive terms as 'stronger' 'better' or 'good' or 'bad' when discussing medications.  One medication may be safer or 'more effective' than another in any given patient.. But, this question that you have asked before, has no correct answer.

Recommend a SGA: Second generation antipsychotic (SGA) in combination w/the celexa you are already taking. Regardless of whether or not the intrussive thoughts are secondary to an underlying OCD, major depressive d/o, bipolar d/o, neurodevelopmental d/o, psychotic d/o - all of which can present with intrusive thoughts, and in all such cases, a SGA can be effective. CBT is an another  equally efficacious option.

Usually: Zoloft (sertraline) and Prozac and Celexa are-SSRIs very similar drugs.unless you had an allergic reaction or serious reaction to one of them you can take the other ones. All them can cause withdrawal symptoms  this can be miserable but is not usually life-threatening.Check with your psychiatrist your primary care physician .omepraxole can cause cardiac side effects But is usually safe with these

why does abilify (aripiprazole) and celexa help my mood but zoloft made me feel sick and down. i also can't use abilify (aripiprazole) anymore because of cost. any other options?

Risperidone: Is less expensive.  Quetiapine also.
