i'm a 26 year old female, my weight is 118 pounds.i was put on 12.5mg zoloft for 4 days but my speech slurred and i was so tired. they changed me to 37.7mg venflaxine for 2 days now.now i can't hardly orgasm. could they be effecting me this quickly?

- low thyroid (just having a "normal" TSH doesn't exclude thyroid problems)
- obstructive sleep apnea or a sleep related breathing disorder
- delta wave sleep disorder
- infection with epstein barr virus, cmv, and hhv-6 - all of which can drain your energy

one useful data point? Were you ever not tired? Have you had trauma in your life?  These would also be useful to know.

Unusual: The side effect that you describe is not listed in the package insert, and the medical/psychiatric field would only become aware of it if a case report was published by a peer-reviewed journal such as the american journal of psychiatry. Until i see it in a reputable source, it is hard for me to accept that zoloft (sertraline) could cause such a phenomenon.

70 year woman is on anxiety disorder. takes alprazolam 0.5 every night and zoloft 50 mg she recently dont want to take zoloft as it is not making any difference. is it okay to stop the zofolt or do it gradually?

: It's better to taper the dose, 1/2 tablet daily for 5-7 days then 1/2 tablet for every other day for one week then she can stop.
