Motrin?  Yes, maybe: Zofran prevents vomiting, and Motrin treats fever and pain, so technically they can be taken together.  However, Motrin can irritate an already sensitive stomach, so i personally would use tylenol (acetaminophen) in a patient who needs zofran.

Zofran: Pharmacological studies on Zofran show that patients with moderate to severe hepatic impairment (liver) may have an extended half life of Zofran. In most patients over half the drug is gone in 5.7 hours. Older patients may take longer to clear Zofran as well. It really depends what side effects you are talking about as well.

Yes, it is OK: The recommended adult oral dosage of Zofran (ondansetron) is 24 mg given as three 8-mg tablets or 4-8 mg 3X/day as needed. Not to exceed 24mg in 24 hours. It is always prudent to discuss side effects and risks with your physician.

No: Zofran (ondansetron) is typically used safely during pregnancy.  You shouldn't worry.  Docs are very cautious about medication used during pregnancy so you needn't worry.

Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and Zofran: You need to have a very good reason to have the two given together. Both can cause drowsiness and so it is best not to use them together. But you pediatrician would know better as he/she knows the condition of your child if it is necessary to give both together.

Can't say for sure.: People have developed serotonin syndrome with use of Zofran. Although we usually think of serotonin syndrome as occurring with very high doses of seritonergic medications (often taken over a period of time &amp; with mulitple meds) - the bottom line is that some people can develop serotonin syndrome on a mildly seroternergic medication, at low dose with brief use.

Usually: The oral dissolving feature is just a quicker way for many to get it into their bloodstream by having some absorbed under the tongue. The total dose would remain the same. The effectiveness might change some from a delay in absorption.

Maybe: In general, zofran (ondansetron) is made for short-term usage, and if it has not gotten your symptoms under control yet, adding more is unlikely to help. If, however, it was helping and has worn off, taking one additional tablet would be okay. Again, in the short-term.
Keep in mind zofran (ondansetron) is an opiate relative, which means if you have a drug or alcohol history or a family history, it is not your best choice.

Ondansetron: Zofran (ondansetron) in doses greater than 16 mg at a time has been implicated in prolonging the qt interval.  This effect would last for a few hours while the drug was in the system.  A single 4 mg dose does not carry this risk.
