hello, i have a question about zinc toxicity, i have been taking zinc l-optizinc 30mg for one and half years every day, my neutrophils count have dropped to 1300, in this period, i have stopped it 2 days ago; i am very scared, is this curable?

: 30mg of zinc is a safe dose. Though ideally it is paired with 1mg of copper if taken long term. Your neutrophil count likely has nothing to do with that particular zinc dose. Otherwise I would avoid jumping to any conclusions and follow up with the doctor who ordered your bloodwork in the first place for accurate interpretation.

Hair loss: You can try Propecia (finasteride) after consulting a physician. It could help but sometimes not. Please be noted Propecia (finasteride) do have side effects. Hence without consulting a physician don't start. Hair transplantation is another viable option. You have to discuss with cosmetic surgeon.

Any : Any test has a risk of being a false negative or even false positve for that matter. Heavy metal toxicity/poisoning is a very difficult issue, and has been a challenge for a lot of doctors. I recommend you consult a medical toxicologist. These doctors specialize in poison and metal toxicity. If you have already done so, i suggest a second opinion by another doctor in the field.

Ask the DR: Zinc toxicity causes diarrhea. There may be vomiting as well. Something very different is happening.You left out too much to get anything else. WHY WAS THIS CHILD GIVEN ANY ZINC AT ALL? What dose? How administered? Once? Or more? There are very few legitimate reasons to take zinc.

i just accidentally took 65mg of zinc instead of 50mg . is this a toxic amount? i also swallowed a bit of baking soda while brushing teeth . worry?

Zinc and baking soda: Taking an extra 15 mg. Of zinc once should not be a problem but if you are overly concerned, don't take it tomorrow. 
Swallowing a bit of baking soda will not hurt you.

can i use oral vitamin a/b5/zinc to reduce acne? i know vitamin a can be toxic in large doses, but accutane sounds equally toxic at therapeutic doses.

Acne therapy: Before using this combination, i would go see a dermatologist.  There are many other less toxic alternatives that are very effective.  You could also try over-the-counter acne treatments as well.

Harmful shame: Shame is a normal human emotion. It's sometimes confused with guilt and hard to distinguish the difference between them. We do things & suffer things that cause us to be ashamed. Guilt is mostly from our own bad behavior. Shame that we don't deal with successfully can bring depression & hopeless helpless feelings & demoralize us. That's toxic physically and emotionally. Best to talk about it.
