Nothing: Zanaflex is not typically part of a drugs of abuse screening test. Bear in mind however that depending on the reasons for the test and the resources of the organization doing the test, with chromatography we can find virtually any substance in any quantity. If found in a typical probation setting, it would not be considered a violation unless specifically specified in the probation order.

No.: Urine drug testing using modern gas chromatography and mass spectroscopy for confirmatory chemical analysis will not mistake tizanidine (zanaflex) for another substance.

Probably not: Zanaflex (tizanidine) (tizantidine) is not a drug that is routinely tested on urine drug screens because it has low potential for abuse and low potential for activating addiction in patients genetically susceptible to developing addiction. That being said, urine drug screens can be done for any drugs that the testers decide to test for although Zanaflex (tizanidine) would be an unusual drug to test for.

Need to ask Pain Doc: Yes, you have other options but you need to ask your pain doc. First, epocrates claims no significant interaction btwn Celexa (citalopram) & baclofen. Drugs.Com says there is a possible interaction http://bit.Ly/heiote. Second, alternatives to Baclofen & tizanidine include cyclobenzaprine, carisoprodol, dantrolene, metaxalone, Methocarbamol & orphenadrine as muscle relaxants per epocrates.

any drugs 4 spasticity that could replace baclofen, and be taken with celexa safely? except i am allergic 2 zanaflex (tizanidine)..plz help i need my celexa back!

Possibly: Clonazepam is a possibility but is a controlled substance and is not prescribed unless you really have problems with he baclofen. It causes dependence and is pretty hard to wean from.

Yes...: Muscle relaxant and opioid agonist.  No problem, however excessive relaxation may lead to unsafe conditions with driving or certain activities
