Green vegetables : I am so sorry, nosebleeds may occur. The bleeding should stop within a few minutes. If not, please notify your physician. If they allow you to take green leafy vegetables such as cooked Kale, this may be helpful.

Hard to say but...: What type of lung cancer? 30% of those with non-small cell stage  survive at least 5 years, though most have gotten treatment- but not clear if conventional treatment increases survival since they generally don't compare those who are treated with those who are not! but when you say does not want treatment do you mean conventional or any treatment? There are many alternatives. See comment:.

Not much: Cancer of lung at the age of 20 is very rare. If you are afraid of getting lung cancer don't smoke , don't get exposed to toxic chemicals including second hand smoke , have clean habits, then you will reduce the incidence in later years of your life. Who knows 30 yrs from now when you are 50 there may be even cure good luck in your life.

You can reduce your risk of cancer by adopting healthy habits: Eat a mostly vegetarian diet, avoid alcohol, tobacco and street drugs, avoid excessive exposure to sun, maintain healthy weight, get HPV vaccine, exercise 30 minutes each day, drink enough water so your urine is mostly colorless. Addiction: Use of tobacco in any form can start the process for many diseases, including cancer, heart and lung disorders, though it may occur years later. You may get addicted to tobacco and may not be able to quit it when you realize that it is bad for your health.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Yes if radon present: You need to buy a radon test kit at a home supply store and check the radon levels in the basement. Elevated radon exposure is the major lung cancer risk for non-smokers. If levels are elevated you should ask the landlord to have the problem corrected. Contractors can install active ventilation and do sealing of the basement from radon infiltration.

Not contagious : Cancer is not contagious and cannot be transmitted from one person to another.

Worrisome: The multiple organ systems involved in your note suggest both a primary cancer from some location and secondary spread to the lungs/liver. At first glance that is very worrisome. However, advances in cancer treatment over the past 4 decades has increased their survival chances tremendously. Try to be supportive of the family &amp; don't assume the worst at this point.
