Penile : Penile discharge can be attributed to an infection or a sexually transmitted disease, most commonly chlamydia and gonorrhea. Penile discharge resulting from an std can pus-like, yellow or greenish in color, and can also be blood tinged. Other causes of penile discharge include inflammation and infection of the urethra, caused by bacteria. 
It is crucial to get any penile discharge assessed by a doctor to determine causing factors and prevent tissue damage.

Couple of ideas: This could be ngu, or "non-gonoccocal urethritis" -  an infection not related to an std.  You should see your doctor and have a culture of the discharge taken, as well as a urinalysis and repeat std testing.

Hard to say: This may reflect a problem from his past that is finally becoming symptomatic.As many as a third of men have no signs whith chlamydia and that can change over time. You both need to be screened for STD's.
