Thrush=fungus: Thrush is relatively common in infants/children, but not so in health adults unless something happened..Such as recent use of antibiotics (u did), infections, steroid uses (such as those for asthma/copd/allergies), or immunosupressed states such as hiv, cancers etc...So, check with your doc. It can be easily treated quickly in few days , but this requires a prescription from your doc...

I : I am glad that you had the prior evaluation.  If you were not tested for chalmydia and gonorrhea then you should be tested for those too.  In addition please be sure your pap smears are up to date.  If you had any exposure to syphilis, this should be tested as well.  If your urinary symptoms are ongoing, then please see a urologist for an evaluation as well.  One possibility is interstitial cystitis, but there are other urological problems that can cause these  symptoms as well.

i have been getting recurring yeast infections & oral thrush since december . my bloodwork came back fine.   my doctor doesn't think this is systematic.  i think that it is and i need a long term anti-fungal med to treat it.  can i get feedback ?

Controversial: There is no easy answer to that question as there is no hard medical evidence for the "systemic yeast infection."  That being said, medicine is an art and I have treated several of my patients with recurrent yeast infections more aggressively with diflucan (fluconazole).  I have also done fungal cultures to determine if there is another fungal cause that requires a different anti-fungal medication.

May appear like it: Yeast infections or candidiasis, also referred to as thrush can certainly appear like hairy leukoplakia.  Your dentist or health care provider can perform or order a fungal stain to determine if you have candidiasis.

No risk. STD?: Yeast is not usually transmitted sexually to partners. White coated tongue usually isn't yeast. Also, if you had a vaginal yeast infection, you can't transmit it by performaing oral sex. Are you sure you had a vaginal yeast infection? Professionally diagnosed? At your age of 16, STDs are more common than yeast. See a doctor if you have any doubt about it. Good luck!

Several causes: for gastritis, H. Pylori is one of them, testing negative for it doesn&#x27;t mean you don&#x27;t have gastritis, treatment for thrush is available and handy, but why did you get  it is the question? Could be due to steroids, which can cause gastritis too, your doctor would prescribe you medicines for both conditions, take care

Oral sex and Yeast: It would be hard to get a yeast infection from oral sex.  But not impossible. It would depend on your current state of health.

If you have oral sex and your vagina was not in contact with the male then it cannot travel to there as well.

Thrush&vaginal yeast: Vaginal yeast infection in moms can cause thrush in babies. But adults should not ordinarily be getting thrush unless they are on antibiotics or immune suppressed for some reason.
