Yes: As long as not allergic to xylocaine, (lidocaine) yes you may.  If the sore persists though for over a week, have someone look at it.

endoscopy, was given cardiac-xylocaine , propofol, some med to dry mouth. after the procedure heart was racing, coughing, jittery, legs shakey. why?

The medication to: dry your mouth has vagolytic effects resulting in elevated heart rate, jittery and leg shake. Also post anesthetic you would not be clearing your secretions normally so you would probably cough. The Lidocaine was probably given because the propofol burns in the IV and is very uncomfortable without it. It all sounds pretty normal and routine. No worries.

my sister was given lidocaine hydrochloride to rinse her mouth with.  should  she swallow  this medication.?

No.: Topical anesthetic treatment is often prescribed for ulcers in the mouth, and swallowing will anesthetize the back of the throat, and down the food pipe.  This may blunt the gag reflex, making aspiration of liquids/food into the windpipe more likely.  So, probably best to spit it out after rinsing, unless the doctor said to swish and swallow.

disabled son 32, he's got to have six teeth out ,he's gums are infected and he's in a lot of pain , can i use xylocaine 2% jelly . he will swallow some of it , he's meds are januvia,keppera,logem, minax, salpraz, zvalpro,zonegran,inovelon is it safe?

Pain control: Probably will get very little relief from topical anesthetic, and it will wear off very quickly. Topical works by (key word) blocking pain pathways, but wears off very rapidly. Would be better to treat the cause. Discuss antibiotic therapy with the treating General Dentist or Oral Surgeon that will be doing the surgery.

just prior to the more painful mouth palate injections in preparation for oral surgery can a patient request nitrous oxide as an helpful aid, or not?

Yes: Also ask the dentist to use topical anesthetic prior to the injection.  Topical won't help a lot, but combined withe the nitrous should help ease the soreness from the injection.

i got a small tear in the corner of my lips n when i open. my mouth it burns it dont bleed or anything.. what could it be?

Angular cheilitis: Sounds like a kind of fungal infection at the corner of your mouth.  This is fairly common.  You could try OTC Clotrimazole for a week or so.  If that doesn't work then you need to see the doctor for further evaluation

Lip infection: You may have gotten oral herpes.  Get to your doctor and get it seen.

Complete Diagnosis: You may have sjogren's syndrome which is an autoimmune disease that can cause problems with the glands that produce saliva.
See an oral ; maxillofacial surgeon or your general medical doctor for a proper diagnosis.

May be thrush: Thrush is a whitish coating inside the mouth (on the tongue, inside cheeks, the gums, etc...) caused by an overgrowth of yeast (candida). Candida is normally in people&#x27;s mouths, but in small amounts so is invisible. Thrush is non-urgent if a baby is behaving fine, but should be evaluated by a primary care doctor who can prescribe medication if needed (if no over-the-counter treatment available).
