Yes: Uv rays are a component of natural sunlight and are responsible for tanning.  They cause with repeated exposure, skin changes and cancer later in life.  They have been implicated in the development of cataracts and retinal changes in the eyes.  High intensity uv can cause burns and corneal erosions (welders arc burn).

: It depends on the medication. Certain medications such as thiazide diuretic, doxycycline, etc. make the skin more susceptible to UV ray. However, UV ray does not enhance or reduce the therapeutic effects of those medications.

Yes: UV light in the 200-300 nanometer wavelenths can be used to disinfect soft surfaces.  It works by destroying the ability of the virus to reproduce. Applying UV light to PPE for sustained time (5-10 seconds) can cause the RNA to break down. The UV light needs to be applied to every side of the PPE in order to be effective. Preferably in a box-type set up.

Check the label.: Most sunglasses sold in the US block 99%+ of the UV.  They usually are signified by a tag or small sticker on the lens.  If you are unsure, there are instruments in an optical shop which can test the lenses.

Don't think so...: The phototherapy for newborns with jaundice is not ultraviolet light, but a particular wavelength of blue light (420-470nm). Uv light is used for treating some patients with psoriasis. The very mild jaundice in gilbert's syndrome does not need treatment.
