Observation first: Any surgery could cause adhesions, most of the time pain gaseous distension will dissapper with time even may cause bowel obstruction, one way to find them is by laporoscopy , even removing them

SORRY: There's no "fix" to adhesive disease after surgery.  Adhesions are a normal development after a surgical procedure, and can cause obstruction of the GI tract.  It's uncommon, but not heard of, to have recalcitrant problems.  She needs to eat well, keep hydrated, and follow closely with her medical team.  Good luck.

Same as Scarring: Adhesion, like adhesive means to stick together.  Internal organs in the peritoneal cavity or in joints and other anatomical locations can stick together.  This is usually via   fibrous tissue the body uses to repair itself after injury.  The injury is surgery.  In surgery, we must cut through various tissues and the body reacts with adhesion formation, just as your skin heals together with a cut.

Scar tissue: Adhesions are scar tissue which can form after any abdominal surgery. The severity depends on whether infection/inflammation was present at the time of surgery. Adhesions are like bands or spider webs that form around the abdominal organs/intestines. Sometimes adhesions are light and cause no problems, sometimes tremendous problems, like crazy glue in the abdomen. Can cause pain or blockage.

Not to be picky, but i describe this as 'treatment' rather than 'cure' because chance of recurrance is not insignificant. There are no non-surgical treatments for adhesive disease.

Sometimes surgery: Adhesions are like internal scars, occur after surgery of the abdomen and pelvis, can occur after inflammatory problems like ruptured ovarian cysts, pelvic inflammatory disease.
May cause no symptoms ever; may cause pain and/or bowel obstructions decades later.
Bowel obstructions treated with nasogastric suction, IV fluids, and time.  If  don't resolve with conservative treatment, surgery to cut.
