Varies: There are a number of possible causes, I would not hesitate to be seen.  One of the more common causes is known as lateral epicondylitis which can cause lateral elbow pain but also pain in the wrist and forearm.  There are many good treatment options available.

suspected pericarditis (seeing cardio this week). hand/wrist pain from what feels like circulatory constriction, light dizziness and nausea at times. is this consistent with peri?

: Those hand symotoms are not characteristic symptoms of pericarditis. Chest pain which is sharp,stabbing as the heart rubs up against the pericardium is.The pain is lessened by leaning forward. Fever can occur.  If a great deal of fluid forms within the pericardial sac, other symptoms follow such as breathing problems, weakness, enlarged neck veins,nausea, palpitations, very low blood pressure

Nonspecific: Unfortunately, as you can imagine this is a very nonspecific question which cannot be well answered through this type of forum.  Wrist pain can arise from many conditions such as joint inflammation, sprain/strain, avascular necrosis, fracture, arthritis, instability, etc, so the best thing would be to see an orthopedist for further evaluation.

Need exam!: Apparently no hx. Of any injury to your wrist, correct?How long have you had this pain? Dominant hand?Pain w/ weight bearing could be many things including wrist sprain ( scapholunate ligament injury ), subclinical ganglion cyst, tfcc injury and a host of other things.See your ors for adequate history ; exam., etc. Good luck!

Tendon injury: Wrist pain with lifting/yoga is most likely a tendon injury. Rest the hurt area. Getting a splint to hold the wrist straight, icing it after working out, and using Motrin can help.  If it is not better, consult your physician.

Work modification may be needed.  Medications may be needed.  Imaging such as an x-ray may be needed.  Other diagnostic studies may be needed.  Often simple things can be done to help prevent pain or modify discomfort.  Ask!
