: Hairline fractures in the wrist are important to take care of due to the problems that can arise long term. See a Dr, or if you have already seen one, follow the instructions they gave you. It is important to allow for healing of the fracture. Resting from activities that can irritate the area or make the fracture worse will help you in the long run.

Hard to say: There are a number of potential causes, consider being checked.  Some patients will have a laxity in the ligaments that maintain the stabilty of the 8 carpal bones in the wrist and have similar complaints.  An exam and xray with specialized views can usually determine the cause.  Thank you.

Joint or tendon: This can be in the joints, in the tendons, and other tissues in the wrist. Your physician will examine you do blood tests even x-rays or other imaging to help clarify.

Examination: I suggest an orthopedic examination and also the use of a wrist support until cleared, Sometimes this is just air in the joint spaces of the the wrist and of no clinical importance; however, you must be checked for tendinitis or stress fracture.

i have eds 3 (hypermobility) & often my wrist cracks (feels like tendon catches on bone) & hurts for days after. is there a way to prevent/treat this?

Pain: Warm compress to affected joints may help with the pain. Splints  from an occupational therapist can help with the loose joints of your wrists.  Motrin or Aleve (naproxen) for the pain in  loose joints.  if not improved in 1 wk, appointment with physician and referral to rheumatologist for further management w/ possible x-rays or lab work

my left arm hurts from my neck to my fingers. soulder and wrist crack badly and sometimes my fingers swell up, go cold and blotchy. anti-inflammatory gel seems to help. causes?
