in what way can i keep my wound clean?

Simple Care: The real question is what not to do that slows down healing. Avoid using alcohol, peroxide, hibiclens, betadine, and bleach solutions. Inflammation ( red, hot, swollen, tender) is important to healing  so anti-inflammatories (motrin, advil) are bad. Cover the area with a clean dressing changed every other day  and protected from trauma.  Antibiotics do not help healing unless it is truly infected.

NSAIDs: Your pharmacy will carry OTC pain medication. Avoid disturbing the extraction site since you may dislodge the blood clot and create further issues. Do not rinse or gargle for 24 hours. Please contact your dentist with any additional concerns.

No.: Savlon wipes are marketed for "on the go" wound cleansing and hand sanitizing.  It would be more "dangerous" to delay cleansing a fresh wound.  Most likely Savlon wipes contain the antiseptic chlorhexidine which is often used in hospitals &amp; other medical settings.  Check the ingredients on the container and use them only as directed.  You should be perfectly safe.

Assuming you are: current on tetanus prophylaxis and you have no other medical problems that affect your immunity, probably not right away.  If you develop redness or persistent pain, it could mean infection, so you should see your doctor at that time.
