Accepted Answer

No effect: Vitamin E is a benign oil with no topical effect on the eye.  Your eyes will rapidly flush out an exposure and most of it goes over the cheek with the first blink.  Nothing here to worry about.

Accepted Answer

No use sunscreen: Age and exposure to sunlight causes degeneration of the collagen in your skin.  With time, the muscles and tendons around your face also become lax-they lose their "tightness."  using vitamin E oil may moisturize your skin but has never been proven to restore collagen or tighten facial or peri-ocular muscles and tendons.

my right eye droops immediately after i drink glucose water. why?

Accepted Answer

Interesting: A droopy lid after swallowing (or during) could be due a mis-wiring of your cranial nerves.  I suggest seeing a neurologist for evaluation of this problem.

what happens if you get vitamin e oil in your eye? i am trying to grow my eyelashes longer and put vitamin e in them every night it gets in my eye

Vitamin E: If it is not bothering the eye, it is probably not a problem.  Vitamin e is not effective for lash growth though.  Try using Latisse (bimatoprost) from an eye doctor.

i am having trouble with parts of my face i can wink with my right eye but not my left, if i close both eyes i can open and close my left but not my right... the left side of my face(cheeks near the mouth) is not working right if i drink it spills out tha

As : As per the previous doctor's response, anytime you have facial and visual involvement a stroke must be considered. A less serious but very annoying diagnosis may be a bell's palsy. This is an inflammation of the facial nerve causing compression of the nerve as it passes from the brain stem into the face. This nerve supplies the muscles of the side of the face (of course there is a facial nerve for each side of the face). Causes are viral infection, lyme disease, and idiopathic( means we don't know). Treatment can include antiviral drugs and/or steroids. A bell's palsy usually starts getting better in 4-5 weeks.
I hope that by now you have been checked out.

Red eye: That is the way you are. Due to flushing (vasodilation) to subconjunctival blood vessel. Use refresh tears (over the counter).  Won't worry if no issues with vision.  Maybe  you wink too much with left eye when having a few drink.

Post Op treatment?: Best to ask your surgeon all these post operative issues you keep posting about. We can not offer treatment for another surgeon's operation or the post op protocols. In my private practice I give each patient a post op sheet of instructions to guide them and I see the patient 2 to 3 times that 1st week....

VITAMIN E OIL: I TELL MY PATIENTS, "NEVER EVER USE VITAMIN E OIL OR CREAM OR LOTION ON THE SKIN!"
WHY? BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN LOTS OF ALLERGIC REACTIONS TO IT . . .
BUT THAT'S JUST ME.

i drink plenty of h2o, excercise&eat right, good sleep. no drugs, booze or caffiene. blinding migraines behind right eye. what else can i do to help?

Accupuncture?: Have you tried seeing a migraine specialist? I've had patients who found relief through accupuncture - consider an evaluation by one in your area. Best wishes!

Triad: Stress, fatigue, caffeine.  Remember caffeine comes in many forms; coffee, tea, chocolate. energy drinks.  Stress is an often unavoidable cause
