As : As per the previous doctor's response, anytime you have facial and visual involvement a stroke must be considered. A less serious but very annoying diagnosis may be a bell's palsy. This is an inflammation of the facial nerve causing compression of the nerve as it passes from the brain stem into the face. This nerve supplies the muscles of the side of the face (of course there is a facial nerve for each side of the face). Causes are viral infection, lyme disease, and idiopathic( means we don't know). Treatment can include antiviral drugs and/or steroids. A bell's palsy usually starts getting better in 4-5 weeks. I hope that by now you have been checked out.
