Get a 2nd opinion: before even considering any gastric bypass surgery! For one thing, they want you to lose weight first before it can be done. Secondly, if you aren't careful you may have poor nutrient absorption after the surgery that can compromise your health longterm in many ways. You are too young &amp; can benefit more from speaking to your doctor, and getting a 2nd opinion, and work with him/her to lose weight.

Variable: It is not unusual after any surgery for the bowels to be slow. The bowels slow down for a number of reasons - decreased activity after surgery, pain meds cause bowels to be slow, daily routine not 'normal'... The best thing you can do to help is to remain active (within the limitations per your doctor) - even if it is just walking, limit pain meds, drink plenty of water, take a fiber supplement.

: Would seriously doubt you have damaged your cranial plate, but closed head trauma may trigger headaches.  Do see your doctor and get this all evaluated, so you can have peace of mind.
