can salt water baths help a woman's ph balance? i am very sensitive so medications always throw my levels off after i am done taking them.

Maybe.: Epsom salt baths can help lots of problems - muscle aches and pains and some wounds.  I'm assuming you're speaking of your vaginal ph balance?  If so, ingesting healthy bacterial flora such as acidophilus and bifidophilus, and active yogurt cultures would be most helpful to replenish your normal vaginal ph.  Good luck!

i have had high rbc for 9months w/ normal-high but increasing hemoglobin&hematocrit. all levels are now high. could dehydration be the reason? i am female and drink min 40oz of water per day &follow a healthy diet with exercise. no medications.

Hematologist ...: Dehydration is probably not the answer. Rising Hemoglobin &amp; Hematocrit indicate you are probably making more Red Blood cells than Normal. The Hematologist  is who you need to resolve you questions fastest.

No: Drinking water will not decrease effectiveness of medications unless it is excessive. Most people need to drink 6-8 glasses of water daily.

Anxiety : Anxiety and fluid retention are not related entities. Many women report fluid retention as a PMS symptom along with mood disturbances and anxiety. OTC's may help.
 Meditation is the single most powerful tool for controlling your stress response. Herbals like valerian, lavender, St. John's Wort and chamomile may help. Rx meds include buspar, SSRI's and benzodiazepines carry risk of adverse effects.

can i drink lemon, ginger & garlic with water?

May lower BP too muc: High amounts of Garlic plus Lemon may lower blood pressure. Since you are being treated for High blood pressure with a medication which already reduces your blood pressure, adding something else that lowers your blood pressure may cause you to faint, be dizzy or lethargic. A small amount such as once cup a day may be OK, try a small amount to see how you respond, before adding this daily.

Questions: Does swelling go down after elevating or sleeping?  If so you may benefit from elastic stockings. I assume your doctor has ruled out congestive heart failure. Have you had any circulatory testing to evaluate blood flow and veins? If not, this may be a reasonable step.

No: There is no problem with taking medication with a lot of water. However, five 8 oz. cups of water, while not dangerous, is an unusually high amount of water to drink at once so I am curious as to why you drink so much.  If you have excessive thirst it could be a symptom of diabetes so I suggest you make sure you are tested for that if you have not been tested recently.

accidentally drank my husband's water w/ vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine)  in it. when will the medication be completely out of my system so i can nurse again?

That's a tough one, : because there are so many variables related to the body size &amp; function of the person taking Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) &amp; it depends on the dose. You may want to give your pharmacist some details to get more individualized information, but the average  time for the metabolite dextroamphetamine in a 70 mg. dose of Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) to be completely eliminated is about 2 &amp; a half days to "under 3 days".

YES: You will need an exam and an Rx depending on the degree of fluid retenbtion.

Edema: Benicar (olmesartan), like other angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB's), can cause swelling of the face (facial edema) and lips as an allergic reaction, but it is not otherwise associated with fluid retention
