Sudden : Sudden onset of visual disturbance in one eye is a concerning problem that could indicate a number of serious problems involving the eye itself (including retinal artery occlusion, retinal vein occlusion, retinal detachment, and other problems) and problems involving the optic nerve (including ischemia or stroke in the nerve, or optic neuritis).  These are serious problems that need to be checked as soon as possible to reduce the risk of permanent vision loss.  If needed, go to the nearest emergency room.

Explanations: Unilateral loss of vision could be due to optic neuritis, but more likely, there is another explanation.  Could be due to localized eye problem, such as corneal abrasion, glaucoma, lens problems, uveitis, etc.  Suggest you contact your doctor asap, so this is handled and reversed.  Do not wait, as your visual health needs attention.  However, unlikely that this is ms!

Blood vessel: It may must be a ruptured blood vessel. Use some cool compresses and it should resolve. If you get itchiness or pus in it, pain or visual changes see a doctor right away.

Opthalmologist: The blurry vision is concerning and shouldn't occur just from fever. Inflammation of the optic nerve would be a possibility. Consult an opthalmologist as soon as possible for diagnosis and treatment,if needed.

Swelling: First you need to see your PCP.  Several things come to mind.  Sebaceous Cyst, inflammatory/ infection  process, fatty skin tumor, which all need to be evaluated and possibly biopsied .  When this area swells, it puts pressure on the facial nerve , which exits thru a foraminal opening in the temporal area for the nerve and its 3 branches.

32yo female. woke up today with blurry vision in both eyes that has lasted hours. no medical conditions besides gerd. hard hard to focus looking at phone/computer. eyes are dry/irritated. eye drops didn't help. no glasses or eyesight issues?

: Significant fluctuations in blood sugar is a cause, but if both of your eyes are inflamed this could be a cause. Simple morning eye dryness shouldn't last hours. Fluid accumulation in the corneas is a possibility. I recommend having an ophthalmologist examine you for accurate diagnosis and advice.
