Normal: Sleeping on one site for a while can compress temporary a nerve. You should see a doctor if the numbness does not disappear.

Nerve impingement: These symptoms most likely arise in your neck/cervical spine.  It can also arise from your brain from something like a stroke but this is less likely if the face is not involved.  Nerve impingement should not be taken lightly.  Any neurologic deficits such as these should be evaluated by a physician promptly.  If you develop any functional loss or weakness that would represent an emergency.

OCPs: The likelihood of your leg numbness occurring from one dose of orthocyclen (ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate) is very low. If symptoms persist speak to your doctor and perhaps they will alter the means of contraception to another method.

i fell asleep with my ace bandage on and woke up an hour later to my lower leg numb. i freaked out and tore the ace bandage off my knee but still feel like my circulation hasn't been the best today. should i be concerned?

It will impove: I suspect you had compression neuropathy to the nerve  and it  lost some nerve nutrition from lack of blood  supple. If it  does not improve see your physician

See a doctor: It is not likely that there is a serious complication with lo dose oral contraceptive pills.  Usually symptoms of blood clots present with pain, swelling, difficulty breathing.  See your doctor nonetheless.

Anxiety?: Anxiety can cause heart palpitations, pounding heartbeat and can even be a risk for coronary (heart) artery disease.  The scenario is deserving of a cardiac work up.  The tingling can be explained by rapid breathing associated with anxiety.  Shortness of breath could be related, or could be related to heart disease or other issues.  Identifying the problems will be step one, but relief is possible

You are relatively young to consider a stroke as the cause, but depending on your sex, age, lifestyle, genetics, medications, and risk factors, it is possible.   Other neurological conditions must also be considered.   Since the leg and arm are both symptomatic however, you need a thorough examination.

You cant: By yourself.  Numbess and pain is a parasthesia and is not normal.  If persistent it need to be examined with a neuro workup and exam and also to look at your back.  It can be the nerve or your back.  You can;t figure it out yourself.
