Call the surgeon: You may have them from the trauma of the surgery, but it is impossible to tell you.  Call the doctor who did your extractions and talk to them about your symptoms.  They are the best people to answer your questions.

Many things: It could be trauma from the doctor needing to use excessive pressure to remove the teeth.  Like a traumatic ulcer.   It could have been that you bit your cheek or tongue while you were numb.  Or it could be you are lucky and got a herpetic type sore.

Hard to tell: It depends on when you had the wisdom tooth removed.  If it was recent this is probably the healing socket.  It has been a while you may have an ulcer although the best answer is to see the dentist who removed the tooth and have them check the site.

in the last week, i fell ill from post nasal drip. ulcers also formed around my partially exposed wisdom teeth. i feel better, but my ulcers are still there. i've tried different remedies to deal with the ulcers. could it still be an infection?

Infection: Most viral infections are completely gone in 2 weeks from onset. Bacterial infections may require Dental Treatment for resolution. See your Dentist.

After postop visit: You should see your surgeon and have them examine the surgical area to make sure healing is progressing ok. A post op visit is done so your surgeon can clear you   to eat normally and return to usual activities.

Needs an exam: Could be a small root tip that is working its way to the surface. Without an exam it is impossible to tell. Why not call your treating dentist?

EAT!!!!: I'm sure the surgeon did not tell you that you could not eat. After 6 days there should be enough closure over the socket sites to eat filet mignon. Go treat yourself!

Right about now: If you've had no major pain or swelling or rotten smell coming from the extraction sites, you're pretty much out of the woods. To err on the side of caution, don't gargle or rinse the areas for another day or so.
