Minimal: For this sort of injury ice and elevation and a stiff soled shoe are the keys. Use tylenol (acetaminophen) or Ibuprofen or Aleve for the pain. You are unlikely to find someone to give you stronger meds for this injury (and you shouldn't really need them.).

Chronic Pain: You have to discuss with your pain specialist if Methadone is the right grug for your kind of pain and what else you can take and do including therapy, nerve blocks to spare the use of narcotics, which are very addictive and you develop tolerance if you use these long term
narcotics are not the answer for all chronic pain.

Yes: Elavil (amitriptyline) is an old generation anti-depressant with significant anti-neuropathic property (relieves nerve pain).  In some patients, it can increase appetite and have patients crave sweets and therefore cause weight gain.

Not unussual: Tramadol is an unique analgesic drug that is indicated for moderate to severe pain. Although it binds to mu receptors, tramadol is not technically classified as an opioid analgesic. Some common side effects:
vomiting, nausea constipation. These side effects may decrease after you have been using this medication for a while.
