Accepted Answer

"Warty" problem: Genital warts can be treated and removed so that they do NOT return. There are medications like Aldara, (imiquimod) Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and an old one, Podophyllin that can be applied repetitively.  Surgical options are Cryotherapy (freezing), lasering, and physical removal. Herpes, as a virus, tends to come back over and over again not the HPV(wart) virus. See a GYN MD for further advice.

GOOD  THINKING: Donot  scratch,  bath  only  3  times/wk,  mild  soap  . , cotton  clothes  ,  natural  non  scented  oint  ment,  crisco  shortening  really  good,  lot  of water  to  drink,  5berries, fruits, veges/day,  evening  of  primrose  oil  twice?Day,  flaxseed  powder  every  day.  You  would be  happy.

Confusing question: HSV 1 is most commonly associated with genital herpes and this can recur in the genitals at any time.Taking oral medicine to suppress the outbreaks is a common management tool. You don't list the age of the kid of the site of the original outbreak or why the meds were stopped.This prevents me from a more specific answer. Discuss this with the doc who started the meds.

Good question : Most public pools are closed due to coronavirus, but chlorine usually does kill the virus so theoretically it would do so in public pools, though I don’t think that has been studied .  If you do swim in public pool, thorough bathing with soap &amp; water afterward would be a must, &amp; washing of towel &amp; swimsuit.

i tested positive for hsv-1 orally with a igg of 38.60. i have never had a sore and or any symptoms. thanks for the answers but i have a follow up: should i start on meds ? how would i stop the transmission to my wife without meds and outbreak?

: No medications are necessary or helpful in this situation. Assuming you have been sexually active with your wife up til now and she hasn't had a problem, why change?

treating nares with bactroban again for staph colonization and facial outbreak. doctor said since its just normal staph not mrsa that my immunity should eventually adapt and stop recurring as much. is this true? or will normal staph keep recurring?

Probably not: It is interesting as to why some people get staph colonization despite repeated treatments. I believe the problem is likely from immune defect in the nasal area thereby leading to recurrent infection. Although some staphs are normal residents on the skin (S epider-mides), others are not and only few are MRSA. Suggest that you try daily saline irrigation and avoid picking your nose.

Accepted Answer

Not necessary.: Nasal steroid absorption is very poor so not associated with immune suppression. It may aggravate glaucoma.

The : The only thing that I am aware of that some people have found some relief with is l-lysine supplement. However i must say the most effective and reliable treatment is an antiviral like Acyclovir or valtrex (valacyclovir). Research low or no cost clinics in your area. Your local county hospital is a good place to start. Also try family planning clinics, there may be free programs that will cover a visit and medication for herpes. Lastly, you can research patient assistant programs for valtrex (valacyclovir). You may be able to get some help there. You may even consider calling your previous doctor for a prescription for acyclovir. Places like walmart and target offer these medications for very reasonable prices (i believe $4 for 30 pills).

Some synthetic cannabinoids &amp; synthetic cathinones may also induce zombification. This does NOT mean that there were true reanimated corpses (zombies) in the Caribbean in the 1800's. Prion Dz's are sometimes called Zombie diseases.
