No: It is unlikely to remain in your system very long after exposure.  Some bug sprays are considered unsafe in pregnancy, but the risks are low.  What is more, certain insect-born illnesses are potentially more harmful, so you'll have to weigh your risks and benefits based on your location.

I usually recommend deet-free bug sprays.

Same groups: You listed alpha blocker(flomax or tamsulosin),5-alpha reductase inhibitor(finasteride,dutasteride or avodart),combination of both groups(Jalyn)and PDE5 inhibitor(cialis).Any other drugs I give you will be in those groups.If none has helped you,talk to your urologist about TUR prostate or other surgical options.TUR is the "gold standard" with which other surgical options are compared.Good luck.

BPH: BPH unheard of at age 24 when your symptoms(which you haven't mentioned what they are)started.Incomplete bladder emptying can happen with prostatitis. I have never seen BPH at your age in 31 years of practice. The fact that your symptoms "magically" improved on flomax (tamsulosin) may be co-incidental.Flomax (tamsulosin) can relieve BPH symptoms but does not "cure" BPH. In any case, the main ting is that you are better.

taking finasteride and flomax (tamsulosin) for 3 months bph. dr now put me on 5mg cialis daily 8 days now and told me to stop flomax (tamsulosin) and finasteride. any problems?

No: Cialis has been shown to help both issues-ed and oab. Am not sure that it works for everyone.

The pills: Are a "treatment" not a "cure". Check w/your physician and/or urologist as your BPH may have worsened or changed.

320 mg/day (s.p.): There is conflicting and contradictory research about the benefits of saw palmetto for prostate symptoms. Some research has shown that saw palmetto might modestly improve symptoms such as going to the bathroom at night in some men. But higher quality and more reliable research seems to indicate that saw palmetto has little or no benefit for reducing these symptoms. Any benefit is modest at best.

Saw palmetto: Saw palmetto also starts eorking after two or three days. An increase in dose is not necessary.

Effects vary: Everyone is not the same, so one medication may work better for you than the rest.  There are really two main types of medications to help with the prostate - one opens the urination channel more and the others primarily help actually shrink the prostate itself (helping flow).  All men will have prostate (plumbing-type)troubles if we live long enough.

Flomax (tamsulosin) is used (up to 0.8mg daily) to treat prostate enlargement aka BPH and (off-label) kidney stones. Chat w/dispensing doc about your wishes. Set a defined trial duration as well as reviewing signs of progression &amp; worsening after which consider restarting Tamsulosin.
