Yeast infections: A yeast infection usually resolves in one to two weeks with appropriate treatment.  It may take longer for those who are immunocompromised.
If you have recurrent (four or more) yeast infections per year or a chronic yeast infection simple treatments may not be adequate. Please see your physician for treatment in that situation.

i used a two month expired monistat 7...is it safe? i didn't realize it was expired until after i put it in.

Safe. : Not recommended by the manufacturer, but probably just fine if the product has not been abused by extremes of temp or contamination.

i already used a generic monistat and it did nothing. i still have discharge but it doesn't smell as bad anymore.

Longer or combo...: The antifungal may not have been for long enough (1 and 3 day have higher failure rates), or you could have more than one issue going on (like BV or trich, etc.). Should get an examination and testing to be sure why not resolving. See your gyn / primary / urgent care.

No: The cervix is an effective mechanical and physiologic barrier to items inserted in the vagina.  So you will be unable to insert monistate beyond any safe capacity.

Check in with Gyn: Miconazole or Monistat is a commonly used antifungal med. It works quite well for vaginal candidiasis. I would wonder though if that's what you really have, or if you have a resistant fungus. That's why I recommend you see your Gyn. They can properly evaluate you and better guide the treatment. I don't see a major problem with '2 rounds' of therapy but there might be something else to diagnose.

Should be OK: It's always safest to discard older drugs and use fresh ones, but most drugs are perfectly fine for a long time after their expiration dates and it should be true for Monistat. The date means that potency and side effects haven't been tested for longer times, but usually they are safe and effective much longer if not mishandled, e.g. not sitting on top of a hot radiator.

Topical analgesic: Vagicaine is not generic Monistat.  It contains the active ingredient benzocaine, which is a numbing agent.  Combined with the other ingredients, Vagicaine provides some relief of itching and irritation but does not treat any active infections.

Monistat: This a vaginal medication, but you could apply it to the surface of the skin if so desired.

Yes: It is an antifungal medication and may be used by a man on ring worm, athletes foot or tinea versicolor etc.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Do you have a yeast: Infection?  Symptoms of a yeast infection may include: burning, redness &amp; itching of the vulva; burning with urination &amp; vaginal intercourse &amp; a clumpy, white, vaginal discharge with no odor. Sometimes the discharge isn’t apparent.
