Trust the test : Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.  If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection. Sounds like just an irregular period

Yes and no: To have a true period, you can't be pregnant. When you are pregnant, the pregnancy prevents ovulation and menstrual cycles. What can happen is bleeding during a pregnancy mimicking a period. Bleeding does not always indicate a miscarriage and is a fairly common problem. It sounds like you are unsure of a pregnancy, so i'd recommend having a pregnancy test and pelvic exam by your physician.

Yes possible: Anytime you miss your regular dosing of birth control pills, you increase the chance of pregnancy. You may also experience breakthrough bleeding.  Use condoms until you have 5 or 6 days of taking your pills on time.

Irregular periods: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. This would not be related to having a miscarriage over a year ago. You will need to see a doctor and ask to be tested for irregular periods. You may request testing for thyroid disease and pcos. There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

my concern is re my 12 year old daughter still hs. having menstrual period and it's been 14 days in moderate amount.am scared that she might have low h/h.any advice?

Have her seen: While it's common for young girls to have irregular or prolonged cycles initially, 14 days sounds too long. Have her doc check her hemoglobin asap, evaluate her menstrual history, and check for blood disorders if warranted. Many young girls can have cycle control with ocps, so get her evaluated & good luck to you both.

Cramps? Other symptoms? The overall big picture of your periods over several months will tell you more than just a one month glance. Birth control may have an effect on your periods ... Usually a beneficial effect.
