Usually not: Unless you job requires prolonged standing or heavy lifting (over 25 pounds) going back to work in a week should be okay.  You can help the doctor determine by how you feel and your knowledge of what the job requires. You may still have a sense of urgency, so the availability of toilet facilities may also detern=mine how soon you return to work.

Varies: Get the specifics from your surgeon.  The nature/ complexity of surgery, any complication postoperatively, and the most unpredictable of all - individual factors can all impact your recovery.  I have patients back to normal in 1 wk and some will take a month to feel normal.

Any surgery will have some degree of pain but it certainly can be managed with current pharmacy treatments.

Variety of methods: Can be cut off, but usually banded - hemorrhoid is pulled up into a tube and a rubber band is slid down over the tube to the base of the hemorrhoid.  Hemorrhoid is essentially strangled and falls off after a few days.

Yes: There are many over the counter hemorrhoid ointments that contain a steroid and another medication to help constrict the blood vessels and reduce the inflammation. Just go to your local pharmacy and the pharmacist can point out your options. Don't forget to take a stool softener, eat plenty of fiber and drink plenty of water.

Yes: If you are not in much pain, you can resume most daily activities. You may find you are swollen and sore at the end of a long day on your feet.
I would avoid any strenuous exercise for another week or two.

See your doctor: Depending on the discomfort, you could still have hemorrhoids or more likely an anal fissure (a tear in the skin of your anus).  This can be diagnosed on an exam and treated appropriately.

Not unusual: Hemorrhoids recurr all the time and are the most likely source of bleeding in your case.
