Not a good choice: Strep is a gram positive bacteria. Cipro (ciprofloxacin) has no gram positive coverage. Taking the wrong antibiotic can cause antibiotic resistance. You should take the correct antibiotic.

Its " overkill": If you have respiratory bacterial infection as a Strep throat 99% Strep group A.. best treated by Penicillin like antibiotics  ( Amox..), but bronchitis is 99 % Viral and does NOT need antibiotics... UNLESS special circumstances .. History COPD, imunosupression , HIV... BUT in general Cipro (ciprofloxacin) may be redundant! Make sure to recover your GUT &amp; Immune system by consumption daily Probiotics (Kefir,Yogur

Strep throat: I am not certain why you are taking that particular anabiotic for strep throat. It is not first-line therapy. Perhaps there are other reasons that it was prescribed, of which I am not aware. Certainly muscle aches and pains can be associated with that type of antibiotic. My advice would be to call your doctor and advise of the symptoms and consider switching antibiotics.

Cipro (ciprofloxacin) and Strept: This should take care of strept.  If these spots persist, see you doctor and search for another cause.

Virus, not strep?: The large majority of pharyngitis (sore throat) is viral, and no antibiotic works against viruses. Lack of improvement on levofloxacin (Levaquin®) is evidence it wasn't strep to begin with, or that it was strep plus a virus. This should continue to clear up on its own. Check with your doctor if it continues more than another few days.

One shot of benzathine penicillin is often utilized as well.

Only if you have it: If you have symptoms then you should be seen by a doctor and tested for strep. Common symptoms are fever, sore throat, headache, stomachache, nausea or vomiting.
