No.: Gonorrhea is treated with other antibiotics, and patients are usually treated for chlamydia as well.  Partners should be treated to prevent re-infection.

Amoxicillin : Amoxicillin does not treat gonorrhea.  You need a different antibiotic.  Often, people with gonorrhea have other sexually transmitted diseases, also, so your should see a doctor and be checked.  I attached the center for disease control website on gonorrhea below for more info.

Not effectively: It might kill a few gonorrhea but many strains are resistant. It is a 3rd tier  treatment for chlamydia if taken long enough. If you think you were exposed to some STD it is worth having tests &amp; the preferred treatment. Both of these agents can cause long term problems if not treated effectively.

: Yes, amoxicillin could work that fast to make a test negative, but usually by curing the infection, not just suppressing it. (Amoxicillin isn't routinely recommended for either gonorrhea or chlamydia, but usually would cure either one.) You could consider another test 1-2 weeks after completing the amoxicillin, but it really isn't necessary unless you need the reassurance.

Minimal help: The emergence of strains of gonorrhea resistant to the penicillin group of meds in the late 70's make this a poor choice.Amoxicillin may have some effect on the gc and is rarely used for chlamydia. The standard treatment for a dual infection is doxycycline+azithromycin.

Where are you??: Amoxicillin-resistant gonococci are very common in many areas, and not recommended as first line therapy.  When sensitive, probenecid delays excretion of Amoxicillin by the kidneys and increases the levels available in the body.  The combo is beneficial when the organisms are sensitive.  Check the cdc website for current recommendations for your area.

Probably: But get a test of cure after treatment and make sure partner got it as well.

Tx of gonorrhea: Unfortunately NOT  - the CDC guidelines call for another antibiotic in addition to Azithromycin for the treatment of GC.    and neither of the two other antibiotics you mention is that antibiotic  -  if you have a discharge you need to be evaluated and then treated APPROPRIATELY
