Pappilitis: Although not "normal" it is common for your taste bud to get enlarged. This is usually from a virus or some chemical irritation

Not serious: Prominent taste buds in the back of the tongue are not uncommon or unusual. If you had only one abnormal appearing tongue mass an examination by your physician or an otolaryngologist would be strongly advisable but this is not the case with you.

Let it be: It is unlikely that there is any thing abnormal with your taste buds.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form.  Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless.
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

when cleaning tongue this morning i noticed that  my taste buds all the way on the back of my tongue were very large. there pretty much painless .

Normally not a prob: Enlarged taste buds are normally not a problem, but attempt to figure out when it occurred.  The enlargement can be due to meds, supplements, spicy or sour foods, illness.  I would contact an oral surgeon, ENT doctor or dentist if in doubt or there is an increase in discomfort.

They may be normal: I would suggest that you have them checked by a physician or dentist to see if they are normal or need to be diagnosed and treated.

Bigger: There is a row of larger size taste buds along the back of your tongue.  Anatomically that's normal.  But you shouldn't even know that they are there.  The fact that they hurt is worrisome, see your Dentist.

Bad mouth taste: May be early candida  or from  sinusitis.  Sometimes you can have sinusitis without  actually having pain in the sinus. May also be from gingivitis/peridontitis ( gum/tooth infection), diet or reflux( elevate head of bed when sleeping can try ranitidine  if not  allergic) reflux can exacerbate sinusitis. . f/u/ w/ doc for possible cultures, meds,  oral hygiene.

i am careless in cleaning tongue. now few days before i noticed white coating with red small taste buds like bumps back of tongue. is it normal?

Care...: Tongue must be brushed and or "scraped" . The back of the tongue accumulates tons of bacteria that cause bad breath and or irritations due to the high amount of toxins. If someone has a low immune system situation, it can cause more damage. Start by having a thorough cleaning or your whole mouth including gums and cavities, using a tongue scraper sold at any pharmacy over the counter. See a dentis.

my taste buds on the back of my tongue have been swollen for a couple months. some bumps on the side. i wake up with a film on my tongue. am i ok?

Swollen taste buds?: Have this examined by your dentist or an oral surgeon. It may be something other than swollen taste buds. It may be an infection. It may require a  biopsy.
