: I think a cardiologist is best to investigate her symptoms and to check for POTS ( postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). This seems to be more common in females starting in teenage years in some cases. Some patients may only have simple postural hypotension &amp; not true POTS but her palpitations are suspicious.

Irregular rhythm?: You may have an irregular heart rhythm....possible atrial fibrillation (usually an inconsistent heart beat) or atrial flutter (can be consistent heart beats). See your doc and get an ECG.

These heart rates: are unexpected in a trained athlete. Have they been confirmed electrocardiographically or is this a finger or pulse ox monitor giving you the readings? First confirm these high rates are "real" then if so seek evaluation as they may represent a treatable arrhythmia rather than normal for you.

If any abnormalities are detected, consultation with a cardiologist is warranted. If no abnormal heart rhythms are seen when you note palpitations, you will be reassured
