Smacking lips: Usually this is just a result of the baby generating suction around the bottle nipple, then suddenly lietting it go. Sometimes it can just be the baby playing with the nipple. Nothing to be concerned about.

Not sure: Check with your child's doctor. Sucking blisters on the upper lip are not uncommon, but it is unusual that it would persist. Is he using a pacifier or thumb sucking still? That might cause it to continue.

Sucking problem: You need to check the size of the hole in the nipple &amp; see how fast it is dripping down the formula . Try a nipple with smaller hole &amp; see if it makes a difference,  if she is also breast fed does she make the same sound? If yes then you need to take her to her pediatrician or even ENT  to make sure that her nose, throat &amp; larynx are ok. Good luck &amp; enjoy your  bundle of joy.

Relative issue: Breast fed infants, even if breast fed for a few weeks, seem to have better life outcomes than those started on the bottle initially.There are also living immune factors that breast milk has that reduce some of babies illnesses.That said, there has been tremendous improvements in formulas in the past 3 decades and babies thrive. I think mom's have to do whatever it takes and not accept guilt for it.

my 3 month old has been bottle feeding from same bottle with the same formula. couple days ago she started refusing by pushing out with her tongue & milk flows out her mouth but she will be desperate to eat. how can i help her or is something wrong?

: See her Pediatrician who can check her for physical problems. She may also no longer like the taste. Call the Pediatrician. (S)he may want to see your daughter. Also, as an aside, NEVER put her down with a bottle containing anything other that water. See: BabyBottle Syndrome. And take her for 1st dental check up no later than 1st b'day. See a specialist baby Dentist, a Pedodontist.

Babies have to put a little more work into getting the milk to drop down from the breast vs suckling a bottle. I have lots of parents who use both methods and rarely have I seen true nipple confusion.

A mother who has direct body &amp; eye to eye contact has a more intense &amp; nurturing experience than those who do not. Propping a bottle up while the baby feeds alone is what was often done in foundling homes where babies grew up with mental/social problems.

The frequent feeds with sugary content supports growth of yeast &amp; yeast spores are common in the environment. These are usually seen as a coating, not blisters. Blisters suggest a viral process. There are several prescription treatments.
