should i be concerned about a large painful lipoma on my spine?

If painful,see MD: Ideally lipomas should not be painful, and thus if you are experiencing pain, you should see a Spine Specialist so that they can thoroughly evaluate the location, symptoms and determine next steps.

i have two lipomas in my lower back one at right and one at left, they are painful plus i feel pain in my ribss too recently, what should i do ?

Lipomas: Are benign fatty lesions sometimes confused with sebaceous cysts.  Generally there is no harm with doing nothing.  If they are recurrently inflamed and or causing pain one can have them excised.   This can be done by either a primary care physician or surgeon.  If they are large, i would lean toward having a surgeon excise them.

i have been told i have a lipoma on my back rib at the time was soft since then has gotten bigger, painful and hard is this due to being on top of rib?

Sebaceous cyst?: Could be a sebaceous cyst.

Seek out a dermatologist in your area.  These can be removed in the office with just local anesthetic (numbing medicine).

Lipoma: Lipoma is a likely diagnosis, but a physician would have to diagnose it. Lack of redness,pain and tenderness means that it is not inflamed or infected and may not have to be removed unless it's in an area of the body where it's subjected to continual irritation or unless it's growing or unless the examining physician recommends its removal.

hi, i have a pain under the left back side of my love handle,it is painful to touch. i got my superficial ultrasound done about 10 months ago and the dr said it is a lipoma, it was 9*21mm at that time but now it is hurting more. please advice?

: Lipoma is usually not causing pain but at times, it may do that because of the location. You should see your doctor and have it removed with local anesthetic. Good luck.

i had a lower back lipoma removed under local anesthesia two weeks ago and since then i have been having blood pooling , causing painful pressure?

Bleeding: Source of bleeding has to be identified and addressed.  Return immediately to the practitioner that removed your lipoma.

i have developed non-painful lipomas on my arms, thighs and one on my back over several years as an adult. is this of concern medically?

Lipomas: Medically not a problem but they may be unpleasant visually and they can be easily removed. Good Luck

Need 2 Be Seen: Lipomas are the most common cause of lumps under the skin (in the subq space), however they rarely cause shooting pain on palpation as you describe. I suggest that you make an appointment with your primary care doctor to help sort this out.

By removing: If you have multiple on body surface irritating or slight pain they are most likely  neurofibromas  show to your doctor once removed pain will go away .

Consult with: a surgeon.  Depending on size and location, he might advise excision or further observation.
