Need more info: It's hard to diagnose skin lesions without seeing them. Could be anything from a herpetic lesion or a bacterial infection. Please make an appointment with your family physician to make the diagnosis.

Get it evaluated: I have had several pt's with similar issues.  I sent to a Dermatologist who did a shave excision, lesions came back basic freckles, and the sites healed well with no scarring and the colored lesions were gone.  Either way, a skin Dr. can officially diagnose and treat the area best.  Good luck.

little white spots on the liner of my bottom lip , it's in the inside there not painfull but i wanna kno what it is ... is it herpes ?

Usually benign: If it bothers you, see an oral surgeon or a dermatologist.

i'v have black spots growing on my bottom lip. they're flat shape circles that seem to grown larger over the years and now new ones are forming. i saw a dermatologist but was told thats how my skin cells grow but did no test. is surgey an option?

Diagnosis : Will be needed in order to better understand the nature of the lesions. If they are benign which I suspect, no surgery will be needed with the exception of plastic surgery, if technically possible and no other options available. If otherwise plans may include surgery.

? Herpes oralis: It could be a herpetic lesion, though without it being seen, cannot tell. If is , your doctor can order medication to abort it.

i woke up sunday with a purple spot on my bottom lip. it's been there many years but it's never blown up and not shrunk back down. ?

Sound like a blood: blister, a swollen vein.  Perhaps from biting at the smaller bump that is always there.  Warn compresses and it should resolve again but see your doctor immediately  (or the ER) if this turns into an expanding blood pocket down the face or neck.

See your doctor : Getting bigger is a concern.  It may just be blood expressed into the tissue. Did you have trauma to your lip prior to the appearance?  It could also be a pigmented lesion which may require a biopsy .  Best to have an evaluation and possible biopsy.

never had this before, but my bottom lip was numb in a small spot yesterday and today i have a small, pen tipped sized spot on it. no pain associated?

Lip spot: This could be a very early herpes simplex(cold sore) since the spot was preceded by some numbness.The next 24 - 48 hours will tell. If a sore develops, ask your pharmacist to recommend a salve or cream.
