Large amounts of: Vitamin c can cause loose stools. Citric acid can also attack tooth enamel. So if a person drinks lemon in water it should be dilute and they should rinse their mouth with water after drinking it.  Water is still the best thing around.

The good and the bad: Lemons have vitamin c.  Vitamin c is an antioxidant and is considered to be a healthy supplement.   Vitamin c  is citric acid and is erosive to  teeth.  If your teeth are  in contact with citric acid for hours,  the enamel on your teeth may microscopically erode.  Best to rinse with plain water after minimize this.

It feels good ..: On the premise that anything that makes you feel good is good for your health, hot water with honey and lemon fits the bill.  But it probably really is good for you: it helps keep your bowels regular, may aid in digestion, enhances your mood and may freshen your breath. The steam heat may also clear your sinuses. Most people think morning is best. Most important: there's no danger/risk. Enjoy!
