Chloycystectomy: You shouldn't worry about that. the surgeon will give you Antibiotics anyway before and after the surgery. The Rod in ur leg is not an indication for Antibiotics before procedure.

No: This was studied by medical research many years ago & no association was found between cholecystectomy and developing colon cancer.

Nonspecific : The symptoms are not specific for a particular diagnosis. In addition , cancer does not typically cause pain. Best to see your primary care provider for a more complete evaluation. Hope this helps!

Call Ur Surgeon: Postoperative vomiting warrants a call to your surgeon, even if it's (hopefully) just a false alarm.  Be sure & tell him/her about the wound drainage, as well.

Try medical therapy: especially reduction of stomach acid, abdominal ultrasound, liver and pancreatic blood studies. You may benefit from daily use of PPI medication such as Prilosec OTX, Nexiumor Zegerid. Make sure to get tested for H. pylori, a stomach bacteria which may require additional medical therapy.

D/w your  oncologist: Survival for cancer will depend on diffferent things like the stage, type of cancer ( biology of cancer), your overall health condition, treatment received, response of treatment etc.Now, i doubt that the cancer in the gallbladder is directly connected to the thyroid- thus these are two separate occurences. Prognosis of follicular/papillary is good if surgically resected w/negative margin.D/w md.

2weeks ago i had a gall bladder attack. surgeon ordered a pre-op ekg with abnormal st with possible digitalis. please explain this to me. thank you?

: In this report the interpreter of the EKG is reporting nonspecific abnormalities in the ST-t segments and states tha such abnormalities can be caused by digitalis, if the person is taking that medication.  This includes the more modern form,digoxin.

Different organ: Different pathophysiology.  One condition has nothing to do with the other.  The only link is that either condition can cause jaundice when the common duct is obstructed by stone or by tumor.

See below: Some symptoms can be similar such as upper abdominal pressure discomfort, sometimes nausea & yellow jaundice can occur with both. Painful jaundice is likely from gallstones & painless jaundice more toward pacreatic cancer.  Gallbladder issues more common than pancreatic cancer. Gallbladder pains in abdomen & nausea mostly occur after eating. Pancreatic pain more in the mid back with weight loss.

i am scheduled to speak to a surgeon about gall bladder removal in a couple weeks. but i have been having pain up into my ribs for a couple days now. ?

Probably gallbladder: This is a common symptom of gallbladder disease. Avoid fatty foods and ask the doctor to mover the surgery up if you are having severe problems.
