Dry mouth: Dry mouth and throat are very common. Often caused by medication side effects. Sometimes mouth breathing contributes to it. You should avoid alcohol containing mouthwashes and drinks that dry you out. There are some products over the counter for dry mouth. Of it doesn't get better you may wish to see your doctor.

Eat food: While a,pill can get stuck, more often, it scratches the throat and has already passed through the esophagus. Try eating food such as a banana or bread and follow with lots of water. Good luck

Sore Throat: I would take tylenol (acetaminophen) or aleve or ibuprofen. And, if you are feverish, worse in any way then get to the family medical clinic today.

Nasal/dust Allergy: The local weather may be contributing to your symptoms. Try some Claritin (loratadine) or Zyrtec for a few weeks and avoid dust exposure as much as possible. A soft chewing gum can also help. At home, use humidifier, esp at night. Good luck
