why does my skin breakout if i drink orange juice?

Sugar: Could be coincidence or elevated blood sugar. Check your A1c level. Remember, acne is an infection and bacteria love to be fed. Sugar is a favorite of theirs. Could also be that your elevated sugar makes you produce more skin oil, a component of acne.

i ate a whole organic orange , skin and all and now i have bad hives. i can drink orange juice no problems. what is in the skin i'm allergic to ?

The peel?: Rarely, people may be allergic to an allergen present in the peel and not the "meat" of the fruit.  If your have only reaction to organic orange, then one will need to consider what has been used to grow and treat the orange when grown "organically".

i think i had uti because i was urinating a lot and my head dizzy. i brought probiotics,orange juice and drink lot water. i think it going away i still urinate still little to much and dizziness is going but my left lower back has pain. is it sore?

: You need to see a MD for urinary tract infection urine testing and possible treatment as this potential infection may not go away without antibiotic Rx. The downside of ignoring this problem is the infection can ascend to the kidneys which may be the source of your back pain.

Sugar content: Drinking a cold or sweet drink can sometimes help perk up a sleeping baby.  If you haven't felt your baby move for a few hours a light meal or juice can help.  If you still aren't feeling your baby move, you should call your doctor to have the baby's heartbeat monitored.

i drink orange juice everyday and i drank it tonight and broke out in hives... can it be the orange juice?

Probably not: Hives are very common.  OJ allergy is very rare so look for other possible causes like new meds, high risk foods like nuts and sea foods, recent respiratory infection.  Many time hives come and go for no apparent reason.

Panic Attack: You can drink orange juice but the acidity may make you feel more anxious and chocolate can be consumed in reasonable quantities but you should seek help to understand what is causing your panic as there are ways to help you with high anxiety that are very effective. Fruit juice &amp; xanax (alprazolam): It is OK to have orange or prune juice with Extended Release Xanax (alprazolam). Try to avoid grapefruit juice.

Possibly: Some people seem to be sensitive to foods that they eat or drink and others don't seem to be affected at all by what they drink. Try it and pay attention to your body. If you feel the same that day and the next, then it probably doesn't matter what you eat or drink. If you have more frequency or pain, then it might be something you need to avoid.

hi, i feel urine in my urethra and i feel sometimes a urge to urinate but nothing comes out when i drink orange juice my symptoms get much much worse also chocolate i did a cystoscopy and ultrasound was normal please help??

Urinary urge: You don't mention whether there is some burning on urination or what your urologist thinks is the problem. I assume urine cultures are negative for infection. Low grade nonbacterial urethritis or prostatic congestion and/or mild inflammation are possibilities that cause urge, but your urologist is best to answer your questions and advise you. In the meantime avoid caffeine and acidic drinks.

Accepted Answer

Aphthous stomatitis: "Canker" sores become evident when exposed to any acidic material. They were already present. The juice did NOT cause them, only called your attention to them. Common aphthae are common and of unknown cause. If you have significant symptoms, see a dermatologist.
