See physician: If your period is lasting longer than expected or heavier than usual, it probably is time to at least see your family physician or gynecologist.  A quick fix would be putting you on a birth control pill.

Uterine lining: When you have period the lining is shedding. This is usually not noted. Sometimes, you will see it. It can also be fibrin, a product of blood coagulation. Either way, nothing to worry about.

Bloating: Have you done a pregnancy test? Are you having unprotected intercourse? Are you of normal weight? Do you exercise? The most likely cause of stomache pains involves your bowels. Do you move your bowels in a normal fashion? How is your diet? How much sugar do you consume? All of these questions and more should be discussed with your doctor to find the cause of your bloating and pain.

Might be normal: Mucous can sometimes appear like a long string with a texture similar to uncooked egg white.  Pieces of toilet paper can also get stuck in the vagina.  If there is any discharge with an unusually strong odor, it might be a good idea to check for an old tampon stuck inside.
