on the top right side of my head, i have this random pulsing feeling? like someone is tapping their finger on this one small spot. it's not painful.

i have tapping feeling in my left ear like morse code typing and i wake up with pain in the front part of my head in the morning.

Accepted Answer

Need exam: Your "morse code" and head pain may be due to eustachian tube and sinus dysfunction due to allergy.  If so, Afrin nasal spray at night may help.  Also, depression and emotional distress may be due to hypothyroidism.  
Allergies also more likely with hypothyroidism.  See book, Hypothyroidism, the Unsuspected Illness by Broda Barnes, MD.  A little thyroid may help many of your symptoms.

Eustachian tube dysf: Try decongestants or a nasal steroid.  There is fluid blocking your eustachian tube.

Tapping noise: skull: Your body is mostly liquid, and as you may know from swimming with your head under water, sounds in water are transmitted loudly.  The noise you describe is probably from a joint in your shoulder or hip which may be "heard" while walking.  It probably is not serious, but if it continues, see an orthopedic doctor or an internist to determine the cause.

inside my ear keeps making a light tapping of cartilage type of sound. popping feeling, im not sick. it happens mostly when i lie down/ tilt my head ?

2 possibilities: If examination of the ear canal and ear drum are normal, there are 2 possibilities for your sensation. 1.) You may be aware of the Eustachian tube allowing pressure equalization of pressure in the middle ear or 2.) You may be aware of spontaneous vibration of one of the 2 muscles in the middle ear.  Either of these conditions are not serious.

i have a 6 month old baby. he has been upset for 2 days, refusing his bottle, crying more than normal, shaking his head and tapping the back of his head. he has no fever or cold symptoms.

Check temp: Check his temperature, ensure that he is not dehydrated by monitoring the number of wet diapers. He may be teething, in pain and/or at the early stage of an infection.

i have had a lot of head/ nasal congestion  for a week. now everytime i bite down i hear a balloon or drum tapping sound. why? what should i take?

Fluid in ear: Those symptoms suggest you have fluid in the ear or sinuses or both.  It's a common complication of a cold.  If you're otherwise healthy and not having high fevers, you can try over-the-counter decongestants for a few days to see if it clears.    If not, it's sometimes helped with antibiotics.  I'd seek help right away, though, if you get a fever over 100, or you have loss of hearing.

Accepted Answer

Calcium issue: Possibly you have low calcium levels or perhaps metabolic problems decreasing ionized calcium..  This can result in a unilateral facial twitch upon stimulation (chvostek's sign).  Check with your doctor.

what can i do when my ear has the tapping sound that i hear and it does not go away?
