Adaptive: Malaria is a disease caused by parasites and transmitted by the bite of an infected mosquito.  There can sometimes be vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, and yellowing (jaundice) of the skin.  The vomiting, diarrhea, and coughing are, in part, an effort by the body (in its infinite wisdom) to rid itself of the parasite, which has taken up residence inside the body, where it wreaks havoc.

More than malaria: It sounds like there could be more than one problem here. GI symptoms like you describe could be due to other diseases that co-occur in malaria endemic areas. I would recommend getting additional lab tests ASAP since it sounds like you're quite debilitated from all this. You run the risk of severe dehydration and resultant complications. I would go to an ER/urgent care center. Hope you feel better

Microbiota: Travel to an unfamiliar location may have altered the microbial flora in your intestine. You may take an anti-diarrhea medication like PeptoBismol. Drink enough water so that your urine is mostly colorless, to avoid dehydration. It is likely to resolve on its own. If the symptoms are still there three weeks from the onset, it would be prudent to see a doctor.

: Altho there is very little malaria where you describe, it could happen. Any fever in a patient coming out of a malaria area must be investigated for malaria, as well as other tropical diseases. Even tho it may be nothing, please consider chikungunya, West Nile virus, hepatitis, arborvirus, STDs, schistosomiasis, COVID and many others others! You need to be evaluated by a competent MD, and soon!
