Infections &  hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do  a home pregnancy test .  there are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

Please see a Dr.: This may not be serious but you could have a bladder infection (which is common after sex) or, more seriously, a sexually-transmitted disease like gonorrhea or chlamydia. These are not uncommon and you're at risk if your partner is not using a condom (yes,it's a drag, but important and reduces risk of pregnancy). UTI?: Symptoms you are describing are those of a possible urinary tract infection in its early phase. If sexually active consider sexually transmitted disease as well. Have you pediatrician or obgyn examine you to rule out other causes of discomfort. Pregnancy must always be ruled out.

It would be consistent with dysmenorrhea i.e. Pain during period due to irritation of the pelvic area due to a variety of reasons among which endometriosis, minute uterine lining tissue sitting outside/on the bladder area and gets irritated during the period where contraction of bladder will cause it to hurt.
